Creative Ministries - Resource Center

"Encounter. Equip. Empower."

On this page, you will find a number of resources which may be useful and inspiring for both worship team members and others who are enthusiastic about worship. This page is currently under construction, and will be updated soon.

e-Sword and Bible Gateway

Having the word of God in our hearts helps enable spiritual and truthful worship. It is also important to consider the Biblical implications of what we are singing/playing. e-Sword is a free Bible reference program, and can be downloaded by clicking on the image above and visiting their site.

For those who do not have their own computer or want a translation unavailable on e-Sword, Bible Gateway is an easy-to-use online Bible reference site with every translation from the Old King James to The Message.

Worship Central Podcasts

Every month, Worship Central puts out a new PodCast, including interviews with worship leaders such as C3 Oxford Falls songwriter Nikki Fletcher. Click on the image above to download this month's PodCast (you will need iTunes to listen to this- iTunes can be downloaded for free here.

The Worship Central Website also has some great articles such as a song writing interview with Matt Redman (who wrote Blessed Be Your Name) and other practical tips for worship services.

Manna Christian Stores

Manna Christian Stores have a great selection of books surrounding worship and many other great resources including sheet music, CDs, DVDs and pocket Bibles. Vocalist/Muso Tutorial Videos

Christian City Church Oxford Falls have put some great videos together on YouTube with practical tips for worship team vocalists and musos, including playing around altar calls and how to breathe properly when singing. These videos will soon be available for download in avi format (compatible with most computer video players)- check back in a few days!

I'm With The Worship Team

This group on Facebook is a great networking tool for worship team members who have Facebook accounts, including discussions on what new songs people have been using in their churches and sharing practical tips for worship teams. There is a great section on the discussion board about the difference between vocal artistry and simply singing. Click on the image above to visit the group page and join- you will need a Facebook account to be able to visit the page.

Twitter

Through the social networking site Twitter, worship leaders, bands and organisations such as Darlene Zschech, Parachute Music, Hillsong United and Joel Houston post their thoughts, ideas, inspiration and upcoming event information for people to read. Click on the links below to visit their pages- you do not need a Twitter account to view these pages.

They offer free chord charts in both Adobe and Word format for all their songs (including their Hillsong covers). They also offer one free mp3 download off each of their albums (the entire albums can be purchased at their online store). This is a great place to hear some new music, get inspired and ushered into a fresh encounter with God.
